Daly Heads
Follow the winding road along the head and prepare for the breathtaking view. A heightened view of nearly 6km of almost perfectly straight beach. This beach is hit square on by the western winds and swell evident by the massive sand dunes right behind the shore.
Daly heads was named after Sir Dominick Daly, The governor of South Australia between 1862 and his untimely death in 1868. Sir Dominicks Daly's daughters Caroline and Joanna, on the same day wedded, H.Turton and J.Souttar. It's so far unknown what the families affiliation to the area is, if any.
